Fossil Point Rosé. Named for the rugged headland with sweeping views of the Central California coastline, Fossil Point pays tribute to the bond between sea and vine. One of my new favorite rosé wines. Pretty pink-peach color in the glass. 97% Grenache, 3% Syrah. Strawberry and passionfruit with a touch of citrus flavors. Available locally at Mr. Bill’s Wine Cellar, Roanoke, Virginia and on-line. $17 range.

Domaine Chandon Rosé Sparkling Wine

In French, Blanc de Blanc translates to “White of white” and “Blanc de Noir” translates to ” White of dark”. To make Blanc de Noir sparking wine, dark grapes ( Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier grapes) and the skins get left on for a small part of the fermentation period which makes it a rose color.
Domaine Chandon offers both Blanc de Noir and Brut Rosé. For the price ($25 or less) they do not disappoint. Lots of flirty bubbles in the flute! Available locally at Kroger and on-line.
Mionetto Rosé Prestige Extra Dry Sparkling Wine
Available locally at Target and special order Mr. Bill’s Wine Cellar and on-line. The Prestige Extra Dry Rosé is perfect for sippin’ and sharing with friends. Raspberry, morello cherry and wild strawberry flavors. $17 range.
